Get inspired
Creatifii is an app designed to break artist’s block and spark inspiration for creatives of all kinds.
About Us
What is Creatifii?
Driven by the ongoing stress caused by COVID-19, Creatifii is a free app designed to spark inspiration in creatives of all kinds through daily, weekly, and monthly artistic challenges. Creatifii is a judgment-free zone where both amateurs and professionals can share their work and obtain inspiration from other artists worldwide. Creatifii was designed in order to build a positive online community. For this reason, we refrain from posting the number of likes or followers on users' profiles.
How we foster creativity
The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) has stated that highly stressful situations such as COVID-19, can result in artist block. The onset of the pandemic was sudden and highly disruptive to creators around the world. Public health measures to contain the spread of the disease have been extremely stressful, isolating, and an impediment to artists' motivation. Creatifii was designed to help artists bounce back without feeling any external pressures to create.
Our design
Creatifii’s challenges are easy and tailored ‘for you’ to get out of your head. Creatifii's unique social media and game-like features break artist's block and enable creativity. All creative mediums and styles are welcome on the app and users are provided with curated content from all around the world. There is no right way to Creatifii! Join today and get inspired.
Meet The Team
Creatifii was executed by 9 talented students from Ryerson University (Canada) and the London College of Communication, UAL (UK). After students from the Canadian team came up with the concept for Creatifii, they teamed up with students from the UK to bring the app into fruition.
The Creatifii team separated itself into three distinct divisions. Each team had its own unique and important role in app development. The User Experience team designed the layout of the app and assembled the final prototype. During this time, the Content team created original artwork for the app. Finally, the Branding team picked the colour palette and digitized the final mock-ups.
After the app prototyping was completed, the team broke off into three more focus groups to develop the website. The Layout team designed the appearance and navigation features of the site. The Writing team, provided clear and concise written explanations for each section of the site and the Web Content team added in original images.

How It Works
Scroll down to view our step-by-step instructions and see how Creatifii works.
I. Login
Once you open Creatifii you will be taken to the login page. This is where you can create an account in just three easy steps. All you need to do is input an email address and create a password.
II. Set up
Next, you will be asked a few questions regarding your location and preferences. This will help Creatifii tailor the content to your interests. After completing this step, you have finished setting up your account.
III. Home
Now that you have your account set up, Creatifii will automatically open the homepage. This is where you can find challenges to participate in, posts from your friends and inspiration from other artists. You can easily switch between the “challenges” and “for you” tabs by clicking on the descriptive icons at the top of the page. The home page can easily be found by locating the house icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.
IV. Explore
To go onto the explore page, you can click on the loop icon at the bottom of the page. At the top of the explore page there is a search bar. This is where you can search for accounts, tags and challenges. On the explore page there are daily features of trending challenges. These can be filtered by category and by clicking on the descriptive icons at the top of the page.
V. Uploading
Once you complete a challenge you can upload it to Creatifii by clicking the plus icon at the bottom center of the page. After clicking the plus symbol, you can upload or take an image/video. After you have selected an image/video you can edit it. Once you have completed that step, all that’s left to do is add a caption, tag(s) and category of the piece.
VI. Profile - Posts, Reposts & Saved
The profile page can be accessed by clicking the silhouette icon on the bottom right corner of the screen. In the two tabs on the profile page, you can see all your “posts” and “reposts”. In the top left corner, you can also view your saved posts by clicking the bookmark icon.
VII. Profile - Logistics
On the right hand corner of the profile page, you can find the “notifications” and “settings” tabs. They can easily be identified by the bell and gear symbols.
Testimonials
All 10 individuals who tried out Creatifii said that they would use and download the app. Take a look at what university students from around the world had to say after trying it out…
“I think the concept for this app will be very beneficial to creatives during these difficult times and will encourage them to engage with other like minded people.”
Jessalyn George, Creative Industries Student at Ryerson University
“I like Creatifii’s user interface, it's direct and feels solid.”
Zakiya Cedenio, Game Design Student at Southbank University
“It reminds me of those overpriced Urban Outfitters books that [offer a similar idea of art prompts] but much better. Because they’re customized and updated daily I don’t have to worry about completing the book and going right back to being stuck.”
Madison Green, Professional Communication student at Ryerson University
“This app is similar to Instagram but with its own unique twist!”
Emanuel Gjelaj, Animation student at the University of East London
“I love the idea and feel of this app! I would definitely use it to de-stress and stay creative during exam season.”
Roxana Chabok, Nanotechnology Engineering student at the University of Waterloo
